Why I chose the Marine Corps

I made this choice for several reasons. If I had to go to war, I wanted to go with some boys that were born for it. I knew someday I would write about them, the wild ones, the crazy ones who lived by their own rules. They were the bravest men I will ever know. To go to war with them and earn their respect under fire, their trust, and their love, is something that I will treasure forever.
